This Privacy Policy describes how Pelican Studios, Inc. (“Patio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the Patio mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). Your use of the Services is at all times subject to our Terms of Use (available at https://www.patio.app/terms), which incorporate this Privacy Policy. Any terms we use in this Policy without defining them have the definitions given to them in the Terms of Use.

What does this Privacy Policy cover?

This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or device (“Personal Data”) that we gather when you are accessing or using our Services. It does not cover the practices of companies we don’t own or control, or people we don’t manage. We collect Personal Data about you when you provide it directly to us, when third parties such as our service providers provide us with Personal Data about you, or when Personal Data about you is automatically collected in connection with your use of our Services.

We receive and store any information you provide to us. For example, through the registration process and/or through your account settings, we may collect:

• Contact and account information: your phone number (our primary login method), your first and last name, and, if you sign in through an email-based provider, your email address.
• Profile information: your username, profile photo(s), bio, a free-text “location” field (e.g., “Brooklyn”), and any social-media handles you choose to add (such as Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, Bluesky, Snapchat, LinkedIn, or a personal website).
• Content you create or share: the messages you send (including direct messages, group chats, and channel posts), photos and videos you upload or attach, reactions, replies, link previews, and similar content you contribute through the Services.
